The skin of our lips is the most sensitive skin on our bodies.
lips need a good amount of hydration and moisturization, especially in winters.
These harsh winters end up making our lips extremely dry and let's be honest who likes chappy, crumbly lips especially under a lipstick? No one!
So here are some products that will help your lips to stay soft and hydrated in these winters.
1. Lip Oils

I know a lot of people think lip oils are unnecessary and expensive but no, lip oils can be very useful and affordable too. Lip oils hydrate lips even more than lip balm and petroleum jelly.
I bought this wine lip oil from an Instagram store called Beauty Butter Co.
This lip oil has a blend of oils that nourishes your lips deeply, and also this one has a scent of wine in it. The lip oil is also organic, cruelty-free and very affordable.
Also if you still find yourself in a place that you don't want to spent or invest money on something like lip oils, you can always use products that are available in your kitchen.
You can use sweet almond oil, coconut oil, and olive oil.
All of these oils hydrate lips very well and are safe to use.
2. Lip Scrubs

Lip scrub is another thing that people usually skip on. But using a lip scrub once or twice a week can make a difference.
A lip scrub exfoliates the dead skin of lips and helps it rejuvenate new skin cells. It helps in making lips soft, pumped and the lipstick application better too.
I bought these two lip scrubs from an Instagram store called glitter berry cosmetics.
One lip scrub is cherry flavored and the other one is blueberry flavored.
These lip scrub have extra-fine sugar particles that sweep away the dead skin cell from the lips.
Lip scrub that has big sugar particles can be too harsh and can leave cuts on lips.
Also, these lip scrubs smell very tempting and give little plumping effect to lips.
If you are someone who doesn't want to invest in lip scrub but also want to get rid of those crumbled lips
Here is a quick DIY lip scrub for you -
mix a teaspoon of honey with a teaspoon of granulated sugar.
you can add one or two drops of lemon as helps in lightening the pigmentation of lips.
you can always add some essential oils like peppermint, lavender and rose oil.
and voila! you are done! scrub your lips evenly for 5 mins and remove it with water. follow up with a lip balm.
3.Lip Balm
Lip balm is a step that almost everyone follows
A lip balm gives moisturization to lips and makes them healthy.
It is a step you literally cannot skip, especially in winters.
There are a lot of lip balms that are easily available in the market and you can use any of them.
Here are some lip balm recommendations that I have been using and loving for a while.
Nivea Lip Butter

Nivea lip butter has a thick formula, just like a lip mask.
This lip butter is one of the best lip balms I've tried till now. it does not contain any tint and looks transparent on lips.
If you want something that moisturizes your lips for five to six hours long, this will be your holy grail.
It comes in various variants, the one I own is vanilla and macadamia.
The only con is that this lip balm is not available in India.
Maybelline New York Lip Balm

Maybelline baby lips lip balm have been almost everyone's holy grail since school times.
It gives good hydration and natural tint to the lips. Maybelline has launched so many variants and flavors of baby lips.
The variant that I've been using and loving is the watermelon one.
this is transparent on lips and moisturizes lips very well.
I also own one more lip balm from the Maybelline that has a slight red tint in it.
If you are looking for a lip balm that provides a little color to your lips so you can skip your lipstick for the day, you can try this one.
The only con in this lip balm is that it smells a little weird.
Glitter Berry Rose Lip Balm

The owner of the Glitter berry cosmetic was kind enough that she sent me a free rose lip balm with my purchase of lip scrubs.
I've been using the lip balm ever since.
This lip balm contains a blend of precious oils like coconut oil, castor oil, almond oil, and apricot oil.
What I love about this lip balm is that it has real rose petals in it and its cruelty-free too.
It moisturizes lips nicely and gives the slightest tint to the lip.
